This is how it starts...

So when I was in elementary school I wanted to be so many things when I grew up.. I wanted to be a teacher, a lawyer, a doctor, a cashier, a babysitter, a reader (I could read very well), and the list goes on and on... In middle school i went to a class at the MD Science Center where we built miniature rooms and from that point on I wanted to be an architect or interior designer... then when I got to high school (Go POLY!!) I stayed in the engineering track and I still wanted to be an architect, with an influence in engineering. I wasnt really sure what engineers really did back then. I just knew they had to learn a lot of math and that was ok with me.. i liked math.. and then to college (T.U Baby.. fight fight fight for the cherry and the white) in college they asked me what i wanted to focus on in engineering. i mentioned that i liked architecture but that was to much school.. i wanted to be done in 4 years (and i did it too!!! go me, go me!!) so the counselor suggested civil engineering with a concentration in construction management.. ok, that was cool! and now, I am a project manager in the civil engineering field... but each day, i still wonder.. where is that teacher i wanted to be? where is that cashier i loved so much.. how about the babysitter or the reader.. as i have gotten older i have noticed that my interest are so varied..

i have a sorority sister who is away in Kuwait right now (GO NAVY- BEAT ARMY!) and she started a blog. I read her's often (http://hellonavynurse-doghotdesertdays.blogspot.com).. and i keep saying, i should really do a blog.. I have a friend in NYC that talks so much that I have been telling her she needs to start one too.. and then there is my wedding photographer (http://michaelclarkphotographics.blogspot.com) i am getting married soon, but more on that at another post... but he has a blog too.. and i love his exciting posts too and all the great pics that he adds... ok, so then i was chatting with my friend and coworker and we are reading a book together and both had a epiphany that we really need to write our own story too... so, this is where i finally decided to start my blog.

The other part of this blog is about my love for photography. Since I am getting married I was looking for photographers and ther are some great ones out there might I add.. but anywho, i found MikeClark and he really made a great impressionon me. I just really liked his spirit and zest for life.. and being able to do what he loves shows in every photo that he takes. He is a great photographer and I saw his blog and again, i was reminded of one of the other hobbies/interest that i have... photographer. My father was a photographer before the age of comupters.. back in the time of dark rooms and i can remember the smell of the chemicals.. i loved it.. SO... thats ALSO what i want to do.. and this is how this blog came about.. this is where it all starts..
